Who Is Bethany Bryan?
I was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a disease that has shaped every chapter of my life, but it has never defined the ending. More than anything, it has taught me to treasure every breath and to trust Jesus Christ even when breathing itself wasn't guaranteed.
For years, I lived through some of the darkest moments imaginable. My weight dropped to just 71 pounds. My oxygen saturation hovered around 82% for extended periods. There were days I truly didn't know if I would wake up the next morning. Yet through every setback, every hospital stay, every impossible moment, God continued writing a story I never could have imagined.
Today, I have the incredible privilege of traveling and speaking, sharing that story with churches, organizations, conferences, and anyone who needs hope. My message isn't just about surviving Cystic Fibrosis; it's about choosing faith over fear, finding purpose in pain, and discovering that even the hardest seasons can become part of a greater testimony.
I've also recently started the Cost of Breathing movement, an advocacy campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the staggering cost of life-saving Cystic Fibrosis medications and the barriers many patients still face in accessing them. Every person deserves the chance to breathe, and I'm committed to using my voice to help make that possible.
My memoir, My Story Continues..., tells the deeper story behind my journey—the victories, the heartbreak, the miracles, and the unwavering faith that carried me through it all. It is a reminder that no diagnosis, no hardship, and no circumstance has the final word.
Whether I'm speaking on a stage, advocating for the CF community, or simply sharing my life online, my mission remains the same:
To bring hope.
To inspire courage.
To point people to Jesus.
And to remind the world that every breath is a gift worth fighting for.
